The Adventures of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi

Age Level: Middle Grades to High School
Cast: Flexible cast of 25, mixed, optional extras
Time: 1 hour, 2 acts

Performance theatre at it’s best! Here’s a show where charm, comedy and enchantment are one. Start with a bare stage, a few props, snippets of costumes and soon the actors’ and the audience’s imaginations are working together to recreate a memorable classic. The actors interpret the roles of cobras, monkeys, wolves, a crocodile, a camel, an elephant and the wily mongoose, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. A British family in old India is in jeopardy from marauding cobras in league with Shere Khan, the arrogant Tiger. Only Rikki can save them and he does so in a surprising way. The opportunities for visual comedy and improvisation are endless.
