Sneaky Charlie Leach and his new bride, Cheri, need to pay a loan shark, Tony Tenor, and his female thugs. Charlie and Cheri use their honeymoon money as a down payment on an old theatre so they can burn it down and collect the insurance. But it’s not worth squat without staging a production. A female theatre troupe is in search of a venue for their production of Frankenstein. Cheri invites them for a Saturday night performance, unknown to Charlie, who has hired "Dr. Demolition" to bring down the house – literally. Opening night finds Tony and his thugs in the front row, the Doctor setting his timer, and Charlie hysterical after giving the Doctor the wrong time. The play comes to a hilarious climax with Tony and his thugs chasing Charlie, who’s still trying to warn people, while Cheri tries to stop Dr. Demolition. Lots of action and funny dialog. Many excellent roles for a large cast of performers.
